FARMINGTON — The Farmington Warming Center will resume providing a gathering place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays in January and February and on Thursdays in March.

Everyone is invited to go for coffee, snacks and conversation, to do a puzzle or play a game. At noon a lunch of soup and dessert will be provided by community friends.

The lunch is free, but donation will be appreciated.

It will be offered at three sites as follows:

Henderson Memorial, 110 Academy St., will be open Tuesdays, Jan. 9, 16, 23 and 30 and Feb. 6 and 13. FMI: 207-778-2163.

St. Joseph’s, 133 Middle St., will be available Tuesdays, Feb. 20 and 27 and March 6, 13, 20 and 27. FMI: 207-778-2778 or to volunteer, 207-491-4947.

Old South, 227 Main St., will be open Thursdays, Jan. 11, 18 and 25 and Feb. 1, 8, 15 and 22. FMI: 207-778-0424 or to volunteer, 207-645-2884.

The center will not be equipped to supervise childcare or adult day care. Public transportation is available for a small fee by calling Western Mountain Transportation at 1-800-393-9335. Call in advance.

For weather-related cancellations listen to WKTJ-FM 99.3. If the schools are canceled, the Warming Center will be canceled.
