AUBURN — Fire damaged a Taywood Road home Saturday morning in Auburn, but firefighters said the family will be able to go back inside later on in the day.

Around 9 a.m., crews responded to 38 Taywood Road, where no one was home at the time. The fire led to Auburn asking surrounding communities for support, but it was knocked down after 9:30 a.m.

Hotel Road in the area of the fire was closed for about three hours, reopening just before noon.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
