The steadiest snow will be during the afternoon through overnight Friday.
A change to sleet and freezing rain looks likely in southern Maine and along the coast by Saturday morning.
The snow/freezing rain line should lift throughout the day. Precipitation will come to an end Saturday night.
It will be all snow on Friday.
Freezing rain looks to be the dominate type of precipitation for most of the area on Saturday. Icy conditions are expected.
Traveling this holiday weekend? Sunday looks to be best. Freezing rain potential Saturday gives that day the "Terrible" distinction. pic.twitter.com/8EJ3WIKBfH

The exception will be in the western mountain region and northern Maine where snow/sleet will hang on a bit longer though the day.
Temperatures may limp over the freezing mark south and coast late in the day leading to a brief period of plain rain.
Most of the area should pick up 4 to 8 inches of snow before the change to freezing rain late Friday night or Saturday morning.
About 3 to 5 inches is expected in Central Maine.
Extreme eastern Maine is in the 1 to 3-inch range.
Temperatures will be cold, therefore a very fluffy snow may be in the cards for the afternoon and night Friday.
Sunday is looking nice in vacationland. Skies will be partly sunny and temperatures look seasonable.
Another storm appears to be in the cards for Christmas Day.
