WINTHROP — Aaliyah WilsonFalcone drained a game-high 18 points to power Winthrop to a 68-30 triumph over Telstar in girls’ basketball action Thursday afternoon.
The Ramblers (4-2) ripped through the first two quarters for a 44-12 halftime lead. Madison Forgue contributed 12 points on six field goals for Winthrop.
The Rebels (0-6) managed double-digit scoring in the third quarter with 13 points. Luci Rothwell posted 13 points for Telstar in the losing effort.
Lewiston 32, Cheverus 26
LEWISTON — Gabrielle Wilson sank a game-high 12 points in an evenly matched contest to lift Lewiston to a 32-26 victory over Cheverus in girls’ basketball action Thursday afternoon.
The Blue Devils stepped up the scoring in the fourth quarter with a 12-6 run, which ended up being the margin of the game.
Abby Cavallaro was the only Stags player to sink more than one field goal, making five baskets for 11 points in the losing effort.
Oxford Hills 77, Fryeburg 23
FRYEBURG — Oxford Hills outscored Fryeburg 25-2 in the first quarter and glided to a 77-23 win in a girls’ basketball matchup Thursday.
The Vikings were led by Julia Colby, who drilled four 3-pointers, on their way to their 54-point win. Jadah Adams was close behind with 14 points for Oxford Hills, which had a 40-point halftime lead.
Fryeburg’s Katie Eastman, Kaylee Emery and Maddie Darling each scored four points.
Forest Hills 33, Buckfield 26
BUCKFIELD — Forest Hills canceled out a seven-point first-quarter deficit to defeat Buckfield 33-26 in a girls’ basketball matchup Thursday.
Forest Hills was led by Alexandra Lessard, who scored 13 points with nine free throws. The Tigers scored 15 in the second to take the lead at the half and never looked back.
Buckfield’s Thea Quick scored 11 in the loss. Buckfield falls to 0-5, while Forrest Hills moves to 2-5.
Monmouth 74, Mt. Abram 36
SALEM — Tia Day dropped 22 on six 3’s and led Monmouth to a 74-36 win over Mt. Abram in a Class C South girls’ basketball matchup on Thursday.
After an even first quarter, Monmouth pulled away in the second and poured it on in the third scoring 25 points.
The win brings Monmouth to a record of 4-1, while Mt. Abram falls to 2-3 on the season.
Boothbay 43, Richmond 32
RICHMOND — Faith Blethen scored a game-high 20 points to lift Boothbay to a 43-32 victory over Richmond in girls’ basketball action Thursday.
The Seahawks (5-0) led 21-13 at the midpoint. Chloe Arsenault chipped in with 10 points for Boothbay.
Sydney Underhill-Tilton and Caitlin Kendrick tallied nine points each for the Bobcats in the losing effort.

Gray-New Gloucester 66, Poland 33
POLAND — Junior guard John Martin drilled 21 points, including five field goals from beyond the arc, as Gray-New Gloucester doubled up Poland 66-33 in boys’ basketball action Thursday.
The Patriots (3-1) went on a 20-4 run in the third quarter. Junior forward Hunter Colby contributed 14 points for Gray-New Gloucester.
The Knights (0-3) were led by senior guard Peter Bolduc with 12 points in the losing effort.
Spruce Mtn. 85, Wiscasset 28
WISCASSET — Brett Frey led a balanced scoring attack with 20 points as Spruce Mountain blew out Wiscasset, 85-28, in MVC boys’ basketball action Thursday.
Kayle Stewart added 16 points for the Phoenix, who improve to 6-0.
Forest Hills 67, Buckfield 31
BUCKFIELD — Junior forward Brandon Gilboe poured in a game-high 25 points to lead Forest Hills to a 67-31 victory over Buckfield in boys’ basketball action Thursday.
The Tigers (6-1) roared to a 44-14 halftime lead. Freshman guard Parker Desjardins compiled six field goals from 3-point range and another six from the line to contribute 24 points for Forest Hills.
Senior guard Zack Grover paced the Bucks (3-2) with 17 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double in the losing effort.
Winthrop 70, Telstar 49
BETHEL — Junior center Cam Wood produced 17 points in a balanced attack as Winthrop pressured their way to a 70-49 victory over Telstar in boys’ basketball action Thursday.
The Ramblers (5-1) came out strong in the first quarter with a 22-12 run. Junior forward Nate LeBlanc pitched in with five field goals for 13 points for Winthrop.
Senior forward Jarrett Bean recorded a double-double with a game-high 25 points and 14 rebounds for the Rebels (1-5). Senior point guard Blake Rothwell also posted a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds for Telstar in the losing effort.
Oxford Hills 55, Fryeburg 43
FRYEBURG — Junior forward Colton Carson tabulated 22 points to lead Oxford Hills to a 55-43 victory over Fryeburg in boys’ basketball action Thursday.
Carson pushed the Vikings (2-2) to a sizeable lead in the third quarter with seven of his 22 points. Senior guard Chris St.Pierre collected six field goals, including four 3-pointers for 16 points for Oxford Hills.
Junior guard Oscar Saunders guided the Raiders (2-3) with 17 points in the losing effort.
Cheverus 50, Lewiston 26
PORTLAND — Junior forward Pat Foster netted all 13 of his points in the third quarter as Cheverus coasted to a 50-26 victory over Lewiston in boys’ basketball action Thursday.
The Stags (2-3) ran off with a 15-0 span in the second quarter for a 20-6 lead at the break. Senior guard Will Shibles contributed 10 points for Cheverus.
Junior guard Ali Omar and senior guard Wilsan Mohamed each posted seven points for the Blue Devils (0-5) in the losing effort.
Cony 76, Mt. Blue 59
FARMINGTON — Jordan Roddy dropped 26 and led the Cony Rams to a 76-59 victory over the Mt. Blue Cougars in boys’ basketball action Thursday.
Roddy was followed by teammate Austin Parlin, who scored 15 points on five 3-pointers. After coming back from a first-quarter deficit, Cony amassed a strong lead in the second and never looked back. The win brings the Rams to 2-2.
Marshall Doyon led the Cougars with 24 points, including two 3s. The loss brings Mt. Blue to 0-4.
Boys’ hockey
St. Dom’s 5, Kennebunk 0
AUBURN — Freshman forward Dominic Chasse scored a hat trick as St. Dom’s blanked Kennebunk in boys’ hockey action Saturday evening.
The Saints (2-1-1) netted all five of their goals in the first two periods. Jacob Lewis assisted on three of the goals.
Goalie Devon D’Auteuil pitched a shutout with seven saves for St. Dom’s.
Jalen Jellison had a good defensive game for the Ram’s (0-2) in the losing effort.
