BABSON PARK, Mass. — After trailing by eight points at halftime, Bates rallied for 26 points in the third quarter and rolled to a 60-52 victory over Roanoke in a rare women’s basketball weekday tilt on Tuesday.

Nina Davenport scored 25 points and hauled down 11 rebounds to lead the Bobcats (3-6). First-year guard Julia Middelbrook chipped in with a season-high 14 points, while Melanie Binkhorst added 11. 

Allison Livengood led the Maroons (2-7) with 14 points and seven rebounds, while Corinne McPadden and Laura McManimen each added eight. 

Bates led by scored of 9-2 late in the first quarter and 12-7 early in the second, but Roanoke closed out the half with a 15-5 run over the final six minutes to assume a 28-20 lead.
