FARMINGTON — Myrtle Agnes Tourtelotte, 89, of Wilton, died early Saturday morning at Edgewood Rehabilitation and Living Center in Farmington.

She was born in Wilton on Dec. 19, 1927, a daughter of Leigh S. and Gladys M.(Welch) Crosby. She attended the White Schoolhouse in WIlton and later graduated from Wilton Academy. She was married to Heman Tourtelotte and they made their home for many years at the “Height of Land.” He died in 1984. Mrs. Tourtelotte worked at Livermore Shoe and GH Bass for many years and later was an in-home caregiver for the elderly. She was known to be a great cook; especially her donuts. She enjoyed fishing, camping, spending time with her family, and will be remembered for being a good shot, being able to shoot pennies out of a tree.

She is survived by her son, Roland “Rollie,” and his wife, Patti, of Wilton; stepdaughter, Geneva of Sabattus; sister, Jeanette Rand of Wilton; brother, Herbert Quirrion of Jay; five grandhildren, Shelly, Kenneth, Jessica, Jeni-Marie and Ashley; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was predeceased by a son, Kenneth in 1963; sister Lillian Clemens; and a brother Phil Quirrion.
