LEWISTON — Armand W. Roy, 78, of Auburn, died Thursday, Dec. 14, at Russell Park Manor with his loving family at his side. He was born in Lewiston on November 19, 1939, a son of the late Laureat and Irene (Brillant) Roy.
He was educated in local schools and married his true love, the former Janet Lupardo in 1967. He worked at local auto body shops as a body repairman for many years. Cars were his passion and he loved to work and restore them. He took great pride in his work and was known for his amazing skill. His favorite car was his 1965 Impala convertible. He was also very handy around the house and could fix almost anything. And he was always there to lend a helping hand.
Armand was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish. He loved his family and always enjoyed family gatherings, especially spending time with his “Little Buddy” Austin.
He is survived by his wife of 50 Years Janet Roy of Auburn, his daughter Tina Lachapelle and her husband James of Lisbon, his three sons Russell Roy of Auburn, Michael Roy of NYC and Kevin Roy and his wife Marnie of Lewiston, his grandson Austin Lachapelle of Lisbon, two step grandchildren Megan and Jesse, a brother Omer Roy of Scarborough, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two sisters Rita Deschamps and Lucie Martel, and a brother Roger Roy.
