NORWAY — Carol Francis Taylor, 64, of Powhatan Road, Otisfield, died suddenly Wednesday, Dec. 13, at Stephens Memorial Hospital. She was born in Lewiston on Aug. 24, 1953, a daughter of Rene and Murielle (Lebrun) Lecompte. She was educated in Lewiston and graduated from Lewiston High School, Class of 1971. She worked for several years for Sharlene’s Fabric.
Carol married her true love, Michael Taylor, on June 26, 1984. They spent over 34 amazing years together. She was a devout Catholic and attended Mass at many of the local churches, but called Saints Peter and Paul home. She was also a very dedicated mother and wife and always put her daughter, Faye, and her husband, Mike, first. She enjoyed spending time at the camp in Eustis and riding on the back of Mike’s Harley. She also enjoyed quilting, sewing, maintaining her home, fishing, tying flies, snowmobiling and being at the ocean. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and was always there to help when they were younger.
She is survived by her husband Mike of Otisfield, her parents Rene Lecompte of Gardiner and Murielle Mills of Lewiston her daughter Faye Thibault of Auburn, her three grandchildren: Chase, Alex and Kaira Thibault of Poland, her two brothers Gary Lecompte and his wife Nancy of Belgrade and David Lecompte and companion Sherry Hein of Gardiner and many nieces and nephews.
