BRYANT POND — The Becoming an Outdoors Woman program offers workshops for women who are 18 and older to gain or improve skills in hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation in a fun, safe and comfortable environment.

Women are invited to join them Friday to Sunday, Feb. 23 to 25, at the UMaine 4-H Camp and Learning Center for a weekend of outdoor fun and adventure.

The Winter Skills Weekend is an opportunity to learn or improve skills in topics such as ice fishing, outdoor survival, cooking wild game, fly-tying, snowshoeing, wildlife tracking, shelter building, shotgun and archery.

The cost to attend is $230, which includes meals, lodging, equipment and instruction. A commuter rate is also available.
