MONMOUTH — The Monmouth Community Players are in search of talented acts to perform in their second annual original 1940s radio variety show
“When Radio Was King” is being directed by Linda Duarte of Lewiston with musical direction by Bob Gilbert of Farmingdale. Cindy Dunham of Winthrop will be the show’s producer.
Auditions will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 3 and 4, at the historic Cumston Hall in downtown Monmouth.
Those interested in auditioning should prepare 16 bars of a song to be performed with accompaniment. The production is looking for actors, musicians, singers and more to make this a truly unique experience for everyone involved.
Please attend auditions if you are interested in being a part of this show. If you are unable to attend, contact Linda directly to make alternative arrangements.
The show will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Feb. 16 and 17. There will also be 2 p.m. matinees on Saturday, Feb. 17, and Sunday, Feb. 18.
Tickets are $14 for general admission and $12 for students and seniors.
