WATERVILLE — Eight local students graduated as Certified Nursing Aides from Mt. Saint Joseph’s Residence and Rehabilitation facility on Nov. 30.
The event celebrated the completion of the collaborative partnerships among RSU 54 Community & Adult Education, the Augusta, Lewiston and Skowhegan CareerCenters and Western Maine Community Action.
Candidates successfully completed two weeks/80 hours of Work Ready classes, learning soft skills provided through the academy.
An On-the-Job Training Program (OJT) for 448 hours and clinical training was provided through grant funding facilitated by the Career Centers, Western Maine Community Action (WMCA) and the Maine Department of Labor.
