CHAIN OF PONDS – Greg Hutchinson, 51, died Monday, Dec. 11, at Chain of Ponds from injuries sustained in an auto accident. He resided in Carthage.

Born in Rumford on June 11, 1966, he was a son of Lee and Elaine (Clark) Hutchinson. He was a graduate of Dixfield High School where he was a member of the wrestling and football teams. Greg served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for Verso paper mill in Jay for 24 years. He attended Region 9 Technical School in Mexico where he received his Class A license and then began work at Dead River Oil Co.

Greg loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and riding his side-by-side. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. He had his own nickname for all who knew him.

Survivors include his mother, Elaine Hutchinson of Carthage; his father Lee Hutchinson and his wife Susan of Carthage; three sisters, Debra Lemieux and her husband Richard of Vassalboro, Tammy Pollard and her husband Michael of Fairfield, Jenni Pelletier and her husband Michael of Carthage; his brother, Ryan Hutchinson and fiancé Ally of Phillips, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends too numerous to mention.
