LEWISTON — Marilyn T. Gordon, 87, of Livermore, passed away Monday, Dec. 4, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
She was born Sept. 13, 1930, in Sumner, the daughter of Guy Loring Timberlake and Bertha Claire Tucker. She was a 1948 graduate of Leavitt Institute in Turner. She met the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Gordon Sr., of Livermore while roller skating at Bear Pond Park, and on June 21, 1948, they married. They made their home and raised their family in Livermore and at their camp on Bear Pond. They enjoyed 42 wonderful years together before she lost her soul mate on May 1, 1991.
Marilyn worked packing eggs for Turner Farms and devoting her time to her family and home. She enjoyed reading, watching television and loved to play the accordion, but especially loved spending time with her family at their camp on Bear Pond that was so dear to her heart. She was a wonderful person with a loving heart and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, Robert H. Gordon Jr. and his wife, Juanita of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Terry “Mike” Gordon and his wife, Teri of North Turner, daughters, Carolee Gordon and her husband, Roger Begin of North Turner, and Julie Therrien and her husband, Barry of Livermore, 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and her brother, Gerry Timberlake and his wife, Connie.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, her granddaughter, Amy Beth Marston.
