LEWISTON — Tommy’s Feral Feline Friends will hold a special Christmas bake sale and bottle drive from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 16 and 17, in front of Chapter 11, 707 Main St.
The group is looking for bakers and baked goods for the sale.
The baked goods, bottle donations and financial donations will help save the lives of the forgotten colonies of feral cats in the area that suffer from hunger and the weather.
For roughly 40 years, Tommy’s Feral Feline Friends have been on a mission to save the lives of suffering cats, and they will be able to continue the daily mission with the help of residents.
The need for help is critcal following damage sustained during Tropical Storm Phillipe, which hit the state in late October. A majority of the colonies where shelter cats live was destroyed. Until the shelter can rebuild the colonies, they are rushing to make temperary provisions before winter sets in.
Donations may be sent to: Tommy’s Feral Feline Friends, P.O. Box 274, Greene, ME 04236.
FMI: normblais39@yahoo.com.
Roodi, along with siblings Thunder, Monkey, Panther, Cupcake and George, is among the many cats helped by Tommy’s Feral Feline Friends. Need for donations is critical following an intense October storm, and the shelter is planning a bottle drive Dec. 16 and 17.
