Ben Chin is exactly the mayor Lewiston residents need now. His positive energy, creativity and ability to inspire will help the council develop and implement ideas which will benefit all of us who live in Lewiston, past, present and future.

In the Nov. 27 debate to name a political figure who inspired him, Chin named Theodore Roosevelt, the progressive Republican who said “Believe you can and you’re halfway there.” Chin embodies that philosophy, and will be a mayor who will inspire the City Council and city government to explore new ideas and solutions.

On the other hand, Shane Bouchard selected Paul LePage as his inspiration, from thousands of possibilities; however, many admirers of LePage understand that it is an energetic future-oriented positive vision that is needed now in Lewiston.

It is just such a positive vision, representing new solutions and pride, that Ben Chin brings to Lewiston.
