I think the proposed federal income tax bill is a very bad idea. It is a bad bill. Tax money should be used for things the public needs to be healthy and safe. The bill in the U.S. Senate would hurt people, all because of the selfishness of those people in power who want to stay in power. They have promised to help people who don’t need help at the expense of people who do need help.

I am especially concerned about the millions of people who might lose their health insurance coverage. How will they pay for health care and still have enough money to eat and keep a roof over their heads?

I hope Sen. Susan Collins protects the people of Maine and rejects the proposal.
