LEWISTON — The Lewiston Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce’s Professional Development Series continues Tuesday, Dec. 12, at the chamber conference room, 415 Lisbon St.

The Shooter Preparedness Workshop will be presented from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. by William DeLong, protective security adviser, U.S. Department of Homeland Security. It’s designed for the business and small office sector.

The session will provide an overview for preparedness against active shooter incidents. Because such incidents are unpredictable and evolve quickly, preparing for and knowing what to do can be the difference between life and death.

The cost is $25 for chamber members, $50 for nonmembers. Registration is available at www.LAMetroChamber.com.
