AUBURN — Therese I. (St. Louis) Hurley died peacefully at Androscoggin Hospice House with her family by her side on Sunday, Nov. 19, after a brief illness.
Born in Lewiston on Feb. 3, 1935, she was the daughter of Philip and Blanche St. Louis. She graduated in 1953 from St. Domenic High School, where she played on the girls basketball team.
Therese married Edward Hurley on May 29, 1954, and together they raised their four children. Later in life they enjoyed traveling in the U.S., Canada and Europe. Therese also enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking, line dancing, watching birds in her back yard and going on Sunday drives.
Therese is survived by her son, Daniel Hurley and his wife, Kathy, of Standish; her daughter, Gail (Hurley) Peck and her husband, Jonathan, of Pembroke, Mass.; her son, Kenneth Hurley of Auburn; her grandchildren, Brandie and Aeron Hurley, Haley, Lauren, and Andrew Peck, Colette (Grondin) Levesque and Trevor Grondin; and three great-grandchildren.
Therese was predeceased by her husband, Edward; their daughter, Irene Grondin; and her brother, Roger St. Louis.
