LEEDS – John H. Little Jr., 88, a resident of Leeds, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 25, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Erie, Pa., on Oct. 25, 1929, the son of John Howard Little Sr. and Martha Hazel Grate Little. He was educated in New Brighton, Pennsylvania. He joined the U.S. Navy on Oct. 8, 1947, serving through July 10, 1967, during the Korean and Vietnam War eras.
John married the love of his life, Edith E. Pulsifer of Lewiston, on Feb. 28, 1953, in Brunswick. He worked as his second career for the Maine Employment Security Commission and retired in 1991.
John was a Mason with Lodge #133 A.F. & A.M. of Leeds, a life member of the Leeds Community Church and a member of the U.S. Sail and Power Squadron.
He is survived by his wife, Edith E. Little of Leeds; three children; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by two grandchildren.
