SOUTH PARIS — Charlene V. “Charly” Chouinard, 72, passed away at her home Sunday, Nov. 19, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born Oct. 22, 1945, in Lewiston, to the late John M. and Anita (Pelletier) Chouinard.
Charly brought joy to many people in her 72 years. She loved everyone she met and enjoyed helping others. She also loved animals — especially cats. In her earlier years, she enjoyed playing beano and participating in the Special Olympics. She also enjoyed arts and crafts and going out to dinner with friends and family. She was predeceased by her parents, John M. and Anita P. Chouinard. She is survived by her sisters, Donna Brewster and husband, David, and Patricia Bell and husband, James; her brothers, John Chouinard Jr. and wife, Dorothy, Richard Chouinard and wife, Karin, and Darren Chouinard. She also leaves behind seven nieces and nephews; eight great-nieces and -nephews; and her dear uncle, William Chouinard and his wife, Betty.
The family wants to express special thanks to the staff at the Progress Center and her loving caregivers at the Fred House who provided care, compassion and love through her final days.
