FARMINGTON — Lee Lyon Hayford, 75, of Canton Road in Livermore, passed away Sunday, Nov. 19, at Sandy River Center, following a long illness, with loving family at her side.

She was born in Rumford on Feb. 6, 1942, a daughter of Herbert P. and Shirlie (Tucker) Lyon. Lee was educated in Rumford schools and was a graduate of Stephens High School, Class of 1960. She married the love of her life, Russell Hayford on Sept. 23, 1961, and together they celebrated 56 years of marriage.

Lee was employed at Victorian Villa in Canton as a personal care aide for many years. She loved reading, baking and cooking. Most of all, Lee loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband, Russell Hayford of Livermore; a daughter, Amy Knox and husband, Brian of Peru; a sister, Rae Shields of Andover; sister and brothers-in-law, Lyndy Hayford and wife, Joann and Arthur Hayford and wife, Mary; grandchildren, Courtney Gemelli and husband, Randy, and Scott Knox; great-grandchildren, Carver Gemelli and Charley Gemelli; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents and two sons, Scott and Michael.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Sandy River Center for the wonderful care given to Lee. She will be truly missed by many.
