FALMOUTH, Mass. — Caleb Labrie led a trio of Nordiques with a goal and two assists as Lewiston/Auburn completed a weekend sweep of Cape Cod with a 4-1 win on Sunday.
Shayne Plummer and JP Chauvin also notched a goal and two assists for the Nordiques, who defeated Cape Cod, 3-2, on Saturday.
William Fletcher scored the other goal for Lewiston/Auburn.
Jason St. Pierre made 31 saves in net for the Nordiques, allowing only a first-period goal by Leevi Kervinen that tied the game at 1-1.
Chauvin put the Nordiques back in front to stay with a power play goal assisted by Plummer and Labrie at 14:36 of the second period. Labrie scored his insurance goal 2:56 into the third.
Plummer’s first-period goal also came on the power play. The Nordiques were 2-for-4 with the man advantage, while the Islanders were 0-for-7.
Esa Maki stopped 31 shots for the Islanders. L/A finished with a 35-32 shot advantage.
