BRIDGTON — The Lake Region Community Chorus is preparing for its Fifth Annual Holiday Concert that will take place at the Twitchell Chapel at the Bridgton Academy in North Bridgton. The two performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, and 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10.
The choral group is made up of 55 singers from 14 surrounding towns, including Windham and Raymond. The program includes songs of many different styles and genres, including “Mary, Did You Know?,” “Sleigh Ride,” “White Christmas” and the “Hallelujah Chorus” with audience participation. The choral group will be accompanied by local musicians Rusty Wiltjer and Mark Priola, percussion; the Rev. Cynthia Priem, violin; and Zachary Gray, trumpet. Musicians from the chorus include Ginny Halligan, flute; Carolyn Stanhope, bells; Pam Ward, guitar; Jan Jukkola, clarinet; and Glen Jukkola, violin.
The LRCC is directed by Jan Jukkola, Dan Allen and Nancy Capone. The group is accompanied by Carolyn Stanhope and Sara-Sue Schreiber.
