LEWISTON — Dale D. Tripp passed away peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 14, after a long illness.
He was born April 26, 1963, the son of Olive and Wheeler Tripp. He attended Lewiston schools. He has two sons, Michael and David Tripp.
He worked several years at Country Kitchen. Dale enjoyed riding his Harley until 2003 when an accident prevented him from continuing to ride. He also enjoyed camping, traveling and going to the races. Dale enjoyed sitting outside with his friends at the Oak Street Apartments. He enjoyed riding his electric wheelchair around town, visiting friends and family. Dale enjoyed telling jokes and making people smile.
He leaves behind his two children, David of South Carolina and Michael and wife, Jamey of South Carolina; three grandchildren, Jay, Kayla and Kolton; and his special friend, Louis Driscoll, of Lewiston; his brother, Gary Tripp and wife, Betty of Auburn; his sisters, Joyce Richardson and husband, Eddie of Lewiston, Linda Dulac and husband, Ronnie of Auburn, and Valerie Tripp and companion, Fern of Mechanic Falls; and many loving friends, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his mother and father; his sister, Janet St. Pierre and her husband, Louis; and brother, Colby Tripp.
The family would like to thank Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to Dale during the last few months. In Dale’s words. “I thank you very much.”
