FARMINGTON — Stormy and Mr. Peebles are Pets of the Week at the Franklin County Animal Shelter.
The Dog of the Week, Stormy, is a 2-year-old female, DNA tested to be an American Staffordshire, Golden and Labrador Retriever and Yorkshire Terrier Mix.
Stormy is discerning about her companions. She likes to be the queen bee and doesn’t enjoy cats, other dogs or kids, but she loves grown-ups. They have a calm energy she needs and appreciates. She is looking for a fur-ever friend with the time and willingness to patiently teach her house skills and keep her busy with long walks and playtime.
Mr. Peebles, a senior male, is the Cat of the Week. He may be older, but he still has loads of playful energy left in him. He’s just a round fur-ball of fun who would love to have a new fur-ever friend.
All the pets can be seen at the shelter from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesdays to Saturdays at 550 Industry Road. Cats and dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption and have been vaccinated for rabies, treated for fleas, nails trimmed and they are microchipped. The shelter also rehomes barn cats, livestock and other pets.
