LEWISTON — The Lewiston Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, together with the Central Maine Human Resource Association and the Lewiston CareerCenter, will host HR Thursday on Nov. 30.
The program, 5 Generations in the Workplace: Making Them All Work For You, will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the chamber office, 415 Lisbon St.
The seminar will be presented by Mary LaFontaine, regional director of the Southern CareerCenters for the Maine Department of Labor. LaFontaine has 30 years of experience in the private and public sectors. Prior to her current position, she managed the Lewiston CareerCenter. She teaches at the University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn College and is chairwoman of the Central Maine Human Resources Association.
The chamber hosts human resources seminars where presenters share best practices to businesses owners, HR staff and hiring managers in order to create meaningful recruitment, training and retention strategies.
