LEWISTON — The Center for Wisdom’s Women has announced its November programming. All morning programs are from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The center will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23, and all Fridays except for Herban Works.
Herb processing: 9 a.m. to noon every Friday. Join Herban Works, social enterprise of the center, to prepare products using produce grown there.
Herban Works product making: Noon to 2 p.m. every Wednesday. Product making includes, but is not limited to, calendula salve, lavender eye masks and salt herbs to be sold at the Lewiston Farmers Market every third Sunday.
Holiday crafts: Wednesdays, Nov. 8 and 22, and Tuesday, Nov. 14, calendula book marks. The center will provide the material to make holiday crafts to be sold at the annual holiday fair on Saturday, Dec. 2.
What’s Cooking?: Wednesdays, Nov. 15 and 22. The center will provide ingredients for guests to cook and create a healthy meal.
Women’s Healing Arts Circle: Thursday, Nov. 16. The center will host Dr. Maryam Mermay as she leads a circle intended for women seeking to heal any source of grief through a life-giving and playful connection with the arts.
Power of Prevention: 12:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20. The center will host Maureen Higgins of the Dempsey Center as she shares ways to prevent illness and increase quality of life.
Post-Thanksgiving potluck: Noon Monday, Nov. 27. Bring a dish to share and have a post-Thanksgiving lunch with all the fixings
Bingo: Tuesday, Nov. 28.
Art Van: Wednesday, Nov. 29.
November birthday celebration: 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29.
Cooking Matters, Pop Up Tour: Thursday, Nov. 30. Sign up at the center to participate in an informational discussion on shopping for affordable and healthy food.
The center’s hours are from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to noon Fridays for Herban Works only.
