DURHAM — Voters on Tuesday rejected a six-month moratorium on retail recreational marijuana establishments and social clubs by a tally of 516-579.
The moratorium ordinance included stores, cultivation facilities, product manufacturing facilities, testing facilities and any development associated with marijuana.
The ordinance would not have affected the rights afforded by the Maine Medical Use of Marijuana Act to qualifying patients, primary caregivers or registered dispensaries.
