LEWISTON — Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice announces new physician leadership and an addition to the hospice medical staff.
Elizabeth Hart, M.D., has been named the organization’s director of medical services and will provide leadership and oversight of all programs, including medically necessary health care at home, home hospice and the Hospice House.
Hart joined AHCH as a hospice physician in February. She has many years of experience as a medical director, leading geriatrics and extended care, hospice and rehabilitation programs.
Shauna McElrath, D.O., has been chosen AHCH’s medical director for palliative care. She is certified in hospice and palliative care by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Medicine.
Elizabeth White, M.D., who had previously served as the organization’s medical director, has rejoined AHCH as a hospice physician, providing home and long-term-care hospice support and leadership while also spending some time at the Hospice House.
