NORWAY — Norway Memorial Library will host Doris Ray at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, at 258 Main St. when she will discuss “Finding Newfoundland.”

Ray spent most of July in the Canadian province, “as far away from Disneyland as you can get.” She will take the audience to “The Rock,” to learn about its history, landscape, people and unforgettable places. They will hear about Newfoundland goodies, pick up new words and take home a list of movies, books, websites and recipes.

Ray, Maine born and bred, is a retired educator who calls Oxford Hills home. She is a mother of two, with five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also a reader, a traveler and a Norway Memorial Library Friends board member.

The program is free and open to the public.
