The Oxford County Education Association Retired has continued its community participation project, “Maine Books for Maine Kids,” which places a book written by a Maine author in each Oxford County public library. This year’s selection is “Azalea, Unschooled,” written by Portland freelance author Liza Kleinman, right, who explores the growing unschooling movement as well as the challenges of moving to a new home, making friends and finding room for differences within a family. Kleinman is pictured with Karen Ellis, co-chairwoman of this year’s project.
