RUMFORD — Marilyn Louise Finnegan, age 85, of Rumford, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 22.
A lifetime resident of Mexico, Marilyn attended local schools and was a wife and homemaker. She was an avid player of Trouble, enjoyed watching “Walker Texas Ranger” and other westerns, as well as her soaps. She loved Sam’s Italian subs and pizza, and was infamously known for her twinkling blue eyes and smile at the Rumford Nursing Home where she spent the last 11 years of her life, where she took trips to fairs, apple picking, ice cream and was always happy to see her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Marilyn was predeceased by her parents, Stanwood W. and Evangeline ‘Cindy’ (formerly Fuller) Virgin; husband, S. Eugene ‘Gene’ Finnegan; son, James Finnegan; grandson, Adam Myshrall; great-grandson, Madison Daigle; brother, James ‘Sonny’ Virgin; and sister, Helen Virgin.
She is survived by her children, Warren Finnegan and wife, Norma of South Portland, Owen Finnegan of Turner and Linda Pettegrow of North Adams, Mass.; grandchildren, Brenda DeSimone and husband, Tom of Chelmsford, Mass., Bobby Myshrall of North Adams, Mass., Anna DiMambro of Augusta, Matthew Finnegan of Portland, Aaron Finnegan of Pownal, Briyette Finnegan and husband, Cody Ballwebber of South Portland, Leon Beaulieau of Lewiston, Owen Jr. “Vinnie” Finnegan and wife, Tracy of Maryland, Richard “Finny” Finnegan and wife, Doreen of Hartford; 13 great-grandchildren; as well as sisters, Florence Noyes of Carthage, Ruth and husband, John Snell of Jay, Cora Doucette of Mexico, Fay and Frank Hutchinson of Carthage, Linda Brown of Carthage and Kathy and husband, Ted Carrier of Lewiston; and brother, Stanwood and wife, Geraldine Virgin of Mexico.
