RANGELEY — Emily Eastlack broke the scoreless deadlock with 15 minutes remaining to give Rangeley a 1-0 victory over Buckfield in girls’ soccer action on Monday.
Natasha Haley had the assist on the play.
Sydney Royce stopped the only shot she saw for the Lakers (9-1-4). Molly Bourget made three saves for the Bucks (7-4-2).
Messalonskee 4, Oxford Hills 1
PARIS — Lydia Bradfield scored two goals in the second half to help Messalonskee pull away from Oxford Hills for a 4-1 victory.
Caroline Burns gave the Vikings the early lead, with an assist from Olivia Swift, but Bri Benecke tied it little more than a minute later. Elena Guarino also scored for the Eagles in the second half.
Jillian Douglas made six saves in net for the Vikings. Hannah DelGuidice and Megan Wilson combined for four saves for Messalonskee.
Boys’ soccer
Buckfield 5, Rangeley 1
RANGELEY — Ethan Jackson notched a hat trick for Buckfield, including what proved to be the game-winner in the second half, as the Bucks pulled away from Rangeley, 5-1, in East-West Conference boys’ soccer action.
Noah Wiley and Zack Grover also scored for the Bucks. Wiley also had two assists. Kenny Thompson had the lone goal for the Lakers.
Rick Kraske had seven saves in net for the Bucks. Hunter Lowell turned aside 15 shots for the Lakers.
Mt. Abram 4, Dirigo 0
DIXFIELD — Nate Luce stopped five shots and four different Roadrunners scored as Mt. Abram blanked Dirigo, 4-0.
Tyson Hill, Evan Mackay, Ben DeBiase and Kenyon Pillsbury had a goal apiece for the Roadrunners (10-2-2). Derek Ducharme made 12 saves in net for the Cougars (0-14).
