OTISFIELD — The New England Jumpers’ Association had an outstanding turnout at its third annual Jump 4 a Cure Hunter/Jumper Show on Sept. 24 at the Avalon Meadows Equestrian Center in Otisfield.

There were 10 participants in the Jump 4 a Cure Classic.

The overall winner was Andy Flores, taking home a blue ribbon along with a pink saddle pad and pink brush set. The association had to break a three-way tie between fourth, fifth and sixth place. Meghan Martin took home fourth and sixth while JT Wheelock took home fifth place.

In the Maine Radiator Classic, Lindsey Huston won with her horse, Luna Eclipse. Wheelock second place and Martin took home third.

Proceeds raised were donated to the Patrick Dempsey Foundation to help further cancer research and the families affected.

Saturday, Oct. 28: third annual Halloween Jumper/Fun Show at Kennebec Morgan Farm, Woolwich.

Saturday, Nov. 4: Fall JUST JUMPER Show at Safe Haven Farm, Durham.

Sunday, Nov. 19: NEJA 2017 Jumper Finals at Avalon Meadows, Otisfield. Hunter/Jumper, affiliated with MeHJA. The event will offer Downeast Medals classes.

Saturday, Dec. 16: second annual Christmas Spectacular Jumper Show at Kennebec Morgan Farm, Woolwich.

All events are open to spectators, and food is available on the horse show grounds.
