LEWISTON — Lorraine G. Roberge, 61, of Lewiston, passed away at her home Oct. 9 surrounded by her loving family. She fought a courageous six-year battle with multiple myeloma.
Lorraine was born in Lewiston on Sept. 30, 1956, the daughter of Armand and Rose (Morin) Lamie. She attended Holy Cross School and Lewiston High School.
After graduation she worked as a bookkeeper for Lamey-Wellehan Shoes. Lorraine and her husband, Roger Roberge, married on Sept. 16, 1977, and have owned and operated Provencher Landscape & Nursery for the past 28 years.
Lorraine was devoted to her family, and especially enjoyed spending time with her four precious grandchildren. Her loving nature and generous spirit will be deeply missed by family and many friends.
She is survived by her husband, Roger; her son, Adam Roberge and his wife, Kym of Sabattus, her son, Nicholas Roberge and his wife, Allison of Sabattus; her four grandchildren, Brylee and Corbin Roberge of Sabattus, and Isabella and Lauren Roberge of Lewiston; her brother, Larry Lamie and his wife, Terry of Turner, her brother, Normand Lamie and his wife, Susan of Lewiston; and her sister, Denise Powell and her husband, Bill of South China. Lorraine is also survived by many nieces and nephews for whom she cared very much.
The family extends a heartfelt thanks to the compassionate and talented medical team who cared for Lorraine during her illness, especially Dr. Yi-Bin Chen, Dr. Andrew Yee, Dr. Elliott Heher of Massachusetts General Hospital, Dr. Daniel Rausch of Central Maine Medical Center, and the caring team from Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice.
