NAPLES — Robert B. White, 68, of Naples, passed away Friday, Sept. 29.
Bobby was born in Gardiner on Aug. 18, 1949, the son of Bernard and Joan White. He proudly served our country for multiple tours in Vietnam as a United States Marine (Recon Unit). After a long career as a long-haul truck driver, Bobby retired as an owner-operator of Nam-Vet Transport. He enjoyed buying, selling and collecting hot rods, muscle cars and motorcycles.
Bobby is survived by his father, Bernard (Myrna) White, of Auburn; spouse, Liz White; brother, Anthony White, of Mechanic Falls; sisters, Roxanne Taylor of Auburn and Susan White of Lewiston; son, Shawn (Trina) White of Bakersfield, Calif.; daughters, Nichole (Michael) White-Matson and Michelle White, both of Turner; and son, Ryan White. Bobby was a proud grandfather to all of his grandchildren: Alana-Marie Pulkkinen, Dalton, Taylor and Madison Decoster, all of Turner and Adreanah of Lewiston; and he also had several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother, Joan; wife, Alane Webster-White; and grandson, Trent Alane White.
Bobby absolutely enjoyed living life and visiting with his family and friends. He never met a stranger! He had a zest for life that was immeasurable and abundant energy! Bobby is going to be sadly missed by his family and losing him leaves a void that can never be filled. You can finally rest in peace, after all these years. Semper Fi, Marine.
Robert B. White
