AUBURN — Therese P. (Croteau) Cyr, 76, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Sept. 28, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born in Lewiston on January 3, 1941, the daughter of the late Leonard and Florence (LaFontaine) Croteau.
Therese lived in Maine her entire life, and graduated from Edward Little High School. She married Lionel Cyr and they shared a loving marriage until his passing in 1999. Therese enjoyed fishing, reading, jet skiing, and spending time with her friends and her dog, Buddy. She worked for Falcon Shoe as a bookkeeper until her retirement. She will be missed by many.
Therese is survived by her three children, Donald Cyr, Gregory Cyr and fiancé, Michelle, and Cynthia Leavitt and her husband, Rodney; her siblings, Maryellen Sjostrom, Joanne Leighton, Joseph Treadwell and Ricky Treadwell; her grandchildren, Logan, Cody, Joey, Nathan and Ruby; her great-grandchild, Hunter; her companion, Roland; and her close friend, Carol.
She was predeceased by her husband; her parents; her sister, Madeleine Garnier; Jeanne Treadwell; and her brother, Arnold Wiseman.
