BOWDOIN — Gary Marshall Perry, 75, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, Sept. 24.
He was born in Bear Point, Nova Scotia, on March 16, 1942, to George F. Perry and Edith (Greenwood) Perry. Gary moved to Maine in 1956 and graduated from Cony High.
For 40 years he worked as a journeyman electrician for the NBEW Local 1253. In 2002 he retired from the NBEW and went to work as a marine electrician for Bath Iron Works until 2009. Gary played golf every chance he could and was an avid Patriots fan. He also liked to travel and go to camp and fish and canoe.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Margaret Perry, a daughter, Robin Cooper, and a son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Sonya Perry of Florida; two brothers and their wives, Rodney and Marchia Perry of New York, and Eric and Alice Perry of Maine, a sister, Dora Breland, of South Carolina; two stepdaughters and their husbands, Lisa and Stacey Curtis and Tammy and Steve Ingalls, all of Bowdoin. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Jack Perry.
