LEWISTON — Rita L. Perreault, 74, formerly of 66 Pettengill Street, Lewiston, and a resident of Clover Manor in Auburn for the past several years, went home to be with her Lord in the early morning hours of Wednesday, Sept. 27, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston.
Born in Lewiston on June 23, 1943, she was the daughter of Roland and Blanche Blais Bergeron. Rita attended Marie Joseph Academy in Biddeford Pool, Maine. Her past employment included Clerk of Courts and paralegal work. On July 13, 1966, she married Louis Perreault. Mr. Perreault passed away on December 23, 2007.
Rita loved her home and spent many of her younger days in the garden. She enjoyed camping. Rita was always cooking for her family and was an avid watcher of cooking shows. Often she recounted past funny stories and always was young at heart. Rita was loved by many. Rita loved Moxie and most days you would find her wearing a Moxie shirt and sometimes she had the hat and socks to match.
Survivors include a son, David and wife Kelly Perreault; a daughter, Michele and husband James Jellison; a brother, Paul Gravel; four grandchildren, Jesse, Danielle, Krystin, and Marisa; and four great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by siblings, Maurice, Cecil, Lorraine, Roger, Germaine and Pauline.
The family thanks the staff of Clover Manor for all the loving care they gave Rita over the years.
