AUBURN — Gerald H. LeBlanc, 81, of Greene, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 26, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin.
He was born in Lewiston on April 18, 1936, the son of the late Antonio and Edna (Boutin) LeBlanc.
He was educated locally. He attended Tillicum Community College in Tacoma, Wash. He retired from the U.S. Army in September 1977 with 23 years of service. He served in Germany, Congo, Vietnam and two tours of duty. He was in Saudi Arabia for Bendix Engineering and attached to the Saudi Army from 1978 to 1980. He then worked for the Lewiston Post Office from 1980 to 1988.
Gerald was an active member of the Elks, American Legion and VFW. He also served on the Color Guard for the VFW.
Gerald enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.
He is survived by two stepsons, Kenneth and Kevin Bradstreet and their families; his sister, Pearl Raymond and her sons and families.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Shirley Harps Bradstreet LeBlanc; his parents, Edna and Antonio LeBlanc; his stepmother, Elise B. LeBlanc; and his brother, Raymond LeBlanc.
