FARMINGTON — Arlene E. Jones, 87, a resident of Livermore Falls, went to join her beloved husband Ronald in Heaven, Sunday, Sept. 17, at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington.
She was born December 31, 1929 in Farmington, the daughter of Earl McCrillis and Leona (Spencer) McCrillis. She attended school in Jay. On November 24, 1949, in Livermore Falls, she married Ronald Jones. He passed away April 30, 2010. They made their home and raised their family on the Jones Farm in Livermore Falls.
Through the years Arlene devoted her life to her family and home and also worked at the local shoe shop. She was a member of the Moose Hill Baptist Church, American Baptist Women and the Norland Grange, having served many offices throughout the years. She enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren as well as many others.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Deane and her husband Sterling of Livermore; Leisa Hutchinson and her husband Mark of Livermore Falls; two sons, Raynold Jones and his friend, Tina Martin of East Livermore; and Donald Jones and his wife Grace of Jay; 6 grandchildren, Laurel Merchant, Amy, Kalie, Holden and Heather Doiron; and Emily Staier, 2 step-grandsons, Jamie Ouellette and Ian Hutchinson, 2 great-grandsons, Raymond Hedges and Ronon Ripley, her brother Sanford McCrillis of Wilton, and Celeste Hersey-Leblond who she helped raise.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, sisters, Hazel Hayman and Opal Donnell and brothers, Gerald and Richard McCrillis.
