PARIS — A single goal in each half was more than sufficient for Mt. Blue to record a 2-0 victory over Oxford Hills in a boys’ soccer tilt Thursday. 

Sam Smith and Chris Marshall each scored a goal for the Cougars (3-0-1). Hunter Bolduc and Eli Yeaton contributed with assists. 

Bolduc made seven saves for Mt. Blue, while Sam Morton turned asside five shots for the Vikings (0-4-0). 

Buckfield 5, Highview Christian 0

BUCKFIELD — Dylan Harvey and Noah Wiley each netted a pair of goals Thursday to lead Buckfield to a 5-0 win over Highview Christian in an early season boys’ soccer tilt. 

Zack Grover also tallied for the unbeaten Bucks (4-0) to complete the scoring.

Rick Kraske needed only three saves to notch the shutout, while TJ Sheldon deflected 25 shots for winless Highview Christian (0-3).  

St. Dom’s 3, Lake Region 1

AUBURN — Jack Ouellette led a trio of players who recorded goals Thursday as St. Dom’s hustled to a 3-1 boys’ soccer victory over Lake Region. 

Zack Pelletier and Alex Roy also tallied for the Saints (1-3). Paul Vigna scored the lone goal for Lake Region (1-3). 

Matt Gosselin made two saves for St. Dom’s. CJ Ferguson turned aside 20 shots between the posts for Lake Region. 

Edward Little 8, Messalonskee 2

OAKLAND — Eight Edward Little players scored in the Red Eddies’ 8-2 boys’ soccer win over Messalonskee on Thursday.

Seniors Barrak Abdraba, Eli Thibodeau, Connor Jackson, Mnawer Dubai and Robbie Marcotte all scored their first career goals for the Eddies (4-0-1).

Messalonskee 3, Edward Little 0

AUBURN — Edia Sisson led a trio of players to record goals Thursday as Messalonskee rolled to a 3-0 girls’ soccer victory over Edward Little.

Lydia Bradfield and Caitlyn Parks also tallied for the Eagles.

Hannah Delgudice made four saves to preserve the shutout, while Taylor Depot deflected 10 shots between the posts for Edward Little.

Monmouth 8, Carrabec 0

MONMOUTH — Tia Day notched a hat trick to propel Monmouth to a 8-0 girls’ soccer romp over Carrabec on Thursday.

Alicen Burnham chipped in for the Mustangs (4-1) with a pair of goals, while Audrey Fletcher, Abby Allen and Emily Grandahl also scored goals.

Destiny Clough made eight saves for Monmouth, while Ashley Cates turned aside an impressive 26 shots for the Cobras (1-3-1).

Oxford Hills 5, Skowhegan 3

PARIS — Cecelia Dietrich registered a hat trick Thursday to lead Oxford Hills to a 5-3 early season win over Skowhegan in a girls’ soccer tilt.

Julia Colby added two goals for the Vikings. Alyssa Everett led Skowhegan with two goals, while Sydney Ames also tallied.

Jillian Douglass made seven saves for Oxford Hills. Amber Merry deflected nine shots for Skowhegan.

Oak Hill 6, Telstar 1

BETHEL — Sadie Waterman led a group of five players to record goals Thursday as Oak Hill rolled to a 6-1 girls’ soccer victory over Telstar.

Waterman scored twice for the Raiders. Sydney Drew, Brit Duscheneau, Julia Noel and Abby Delauriers each scored once. Autumn Harrison netted the Rebels’ lone goal.

Anna Dodge made four saves for Oak Hill, while Abby Harrington (15) and Aneah Bartlett (five) combined to turned aside 20 shots for Telstar.

Buckfield 4, NYA 1

BUCKFIELD — Deadlocked at 1-1 at the break, Buckfield roared back to put three goals on the board and hung on to record a 4-1 early season girls’ soccer victory over North Yarmouth Academy.

Hannah Sheilds led the Bucks (2-0) with two goals, while Racheal Warren and Molly Bourget also tallied. Emma Sharp scored the lone goal for NYA (2-4).

Bourget and Cara Merrill combined to make four saves for Buckfield, while Aisley Snell deflected six shots between the posts for North Yarmouth Academy.

Leavitt 8, Oceanside 0

TURNER — Kaitlyn Leclerc registered a hat trick to propel Leavitt to a 8-0 rout over Oceanside in local field hockey action Thursday. 

Sydney Olberding chipped in for the Hornets (3-1) with two goals, while single tallies from Emelia Gagnon, Haylee Janosco and Kayla Leclerc completed the scoring. 

Janosco needed only one save for Leavitt working in combination with Hailey DeMascia and Mallory Casey, while Alexa Barstow (six) and Mattie Hooper (five) deflected 11 shots for Oceanside (1-4).  

Poland 2, Fryeburg 0

POLAND — Faith Davis and Autumn Willis each found the net Thursday as Poland hustled to a 2-0 early season field hockey win over Fryeburg.

Bri Doucette also contributed for the Knights with an assist.

Poland’s Ashton Sturtevant needed only two saves to notch the shutout, while Bridgette Fahey turned aside six shots for the Raiders.  

St. Dom’s 9, Wells 0

AUBURN — Hannah Trottier-Braun scored six goals and added an assist to lead St. Dom’s to a 9-0 field hockley rout over Wells on Thursday. 

Kylie Leavitt chipped in for Brian Kay’s undefeated Saints (5-0) with two goals and two assists, while a single tally from Paige Cote completed the scoring. 

Abby Slonina wasn’t required to make a single save to notch the shutout, while Amanda Roy deflected 15 shots for Wells (0-3-1).

Skowhegan 5, Oxford Hills 1

SKOWHEGAN — After jumping out to a 4-1 advantage in the first half, Skowhegan added another goal for insurance to record a 5-1 field hockey win over Oxford Hills. 

Julia Steeves and Emily Reichenbach led Skowhegan with two goals apiece. Alexis Michonski also tallied to complete the scoring. Brooke Carson scored the Vikings’ lone goal off an assist from Emmy Corbett. 

Leah Savage made four saves for Skowhegan, while Kaisa Heikkinen and Madi Day combined to turned aside 37 shots for Oxford Hills.
