FARMINGTON — A pond construction and maintenance class will be held from 8 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, in the downstairs conference room at the Farmington Town Office, 152 Farmington Falls Road.
Each participant will leave with a “Ponds – Planning, Design, Construction” handbook plus new knowledge about ponds. They may purchase a copy of either the full version of DEP’s erosion and sedimentation handbook or the pocket field guide.

DEP regulations will be covered after a break. A question-and-answer period will be held.
After a short late morning break, anyone paying for the full class will head for the pond sites, discuss the construction points and answer questions. Certificates of participation will be given to those taking the class for recertification credits.
