Six food pantries in Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford counties, as well as Good Shepherd Food Bank in Auburn, received donations from the Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger’s Share the Bread event recently. Loaves & Fishes in Sabattus, Turner Food Pantry in Turner, Clearwater Ministries Food Pantry in Industry, Wilton Area Food Pantry in Wilton, Andover Food Pantry in Andover and District Exchange Food Pantry in Bethel received a $600 check. Good Shepherd Food Bank received $1,000. Gathered for the event were Jon Paradise, vice president of governmental affairs for the Maine Credit Union League, and Kathy Helming, vice president of Community Partnerships at Good Shepherd Food Bank.
