LISBON — Florianne R. (Pratte) Deschene, 89, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Monday, Aug. 7, at her home in Lisbon. She was born in Chartierville, Quebec, Canada, on July 13, 1928, the daughter of the late Cleophase and Odiana (Roberge) Pratte.
Florianne married Albert Deschene on Aug. 30, 1948, at which time she moved to Maine. They shared a loving marriage of 65 years until Albert’s passing in 2013. She was a devout Catholic, regularly attending mass at Holy Trinity Church. Florianne enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time on her porch, where she would watch the deer. She loved the outdoors and was a competitive sportsman. Florianne mostly enjoyed spending time with her family.
Florianne is survived by her eight children, Rene, Gerald and wife, Jane, Roland, Doris, Donald and wife, Donna, Marian and husband, Terry, Janet, Paul and wife, Tonia; 23 grandchildren; over 40 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Linda; her four sisters, Jeanette, Laurette, Viola and Leose; and her four brothers, Leonidas, Alphee, Laurier and Laurent.
