AUBURN — Leonard B. Delcourt, 86, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017 at Clover Manor in Auburn. He was born in Auburn on Dec. 31, 1930, the son of the late George and Alphena (Demers) Delcourt.

Leonard spent his entire life living in Maine. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran, serving in the 82nd Airborne Division during the Korean War. In 1958, he married the love of his life, Dolores (Labbe), and they shared a loving marriage of over 36 years until her passing in 1994. Leonard owned and operated L&A Lanes bowling alley in Lewiston for many years. He enjoyed spending time fishing, hunting and being outdoors. Leonard was known to have a strong work ethic and love for his family. He liked to play hockey in his younger years, and watch his children play as they grew up.

Leonard is survived by his sons, Leonard R. Delcourt and wife, Michele, Remi Delcourt and wife, Celeste, and Anthony Delcourt and wife, Pamela; his sisters, Delores Poirier, and Giselle and husband, Norman Boulay Sr.; his grandchildren, Stephanie, Aurelie, Renee, Daisy (Aaron), Krista, Maria, Ryan, Zachary T. and Chelsea; his great-grandchildren, Ryan, Isaac, Lilly-Anne, Sophia, Theodore and Julien; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; his wife; his sisters, Anne Lemay, Yolande Rodrigue; and his brother, Raymond Delcourt.

Leonard’s family would like to thank the staff of Clover Manor for their care and support, as well as the Auburn Fire and Rescue.
