FARMINGTON — A Farmington man was arrested Monday on charges of trafficking hashish and marijuana, and possession of an illegal drug, Farmington Detective Darin Gilbert said.
Police obtained a search warrant for the home of Christopher Walker, 39, and executed it Monday, Gilbert said. They found hashish, over a pound of marijuana and a schedule W drug, which Gilbert declined to name.
According to Maine law, a schedule W drug relates to amphetamines and derivatives.
All three charges are considered Class C felonies, he said.
According to Maine law, the maximum sentence for a Class C felony conviction is five years in prison, two years probation and a $5,000 fine.
Farmington police officers and a canine from the Maine State Police helped with the search, he said.
The case is still under investigation, Gilbert said.
