LEWISTON — Lewiston Public Library will offer a presentation on the history and flavors of olive oils at 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7.
Pat O’Brien, owner and founder of FIORE Artisan Olive Oils & Vinegars, will lead the presentation.
Participants will learn how olive oils are made, their histories and the differences between the olive oils available today.
After the presentation, those attending may stay for a special tasting of assorted olive oils and balsamic vinegars that complement each other and learn some new ways to pair olive oils and vinegars with food.
The program is part of the library’s Build a Better World Summer Reading Program.
The program is open to teens and adults and is free. Registration is recommended.
