LIVERMORE FALLS — Alan James Lewis, 42, of Livermore Falls, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, July 24, at his residence.

He was born October 12, 1974, in Farmington, the son of John E. Nelson and Robin L. Lewis. Alan was a 1992 graduate of Livermore Falls High School. Following high school, Alan attended the Recording Workshop in Ohio. Alan had worked at various jobs, most recently at PalletOne in Livermore Falls. Alan had a great love for music — he wrote songs and played guitar. His true loves were his children, whom he adored. He enjoyed taking them hiking, going to their games and dance recitals, and just spending time with them.

Alan was a loving and devoted dad, son, brother and friend. He will be deeply missed by his children and his family.

He is survived by his children, Isabella, Willow, Skyler and Jesse Lewis, and his mother, Robin Hakala, all of Jay; his father, John Nelson and his wife, Denise, of Mississippi; siblings, Tenille Darling and her husband, John, of Jay, Brad Nelson and his wife, Lisa, of Mississippi, and Jason Nelson and his wife, Beverly, of Mississippi; maternal grandparents, Shirley and John Smith of Fayette; paternal grandmother, Christine Nelson of Mississippi; also many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, James Lewis; and paternal grandfather, Lloyd Nelson.
