FARMINGTON — The Farmington Police Department has announced that it will run a Fall Citizens Police Academy beginning on Wednesday, Sept. 27.
The 10-week academy was held earlier in the year and received a positive review. A poll among the participants rated the academy a 4.9 out of a possible 5.
Some of the classes covered are: Hiring and Field Training Process, Traffic Enforcement, OUI/Impaired Driving, Drug Investigation, Use of Force, Criminal law, Search & Seizure and the K-9 program.
The Farmington Police Department encourages those who are interested to apply as soon as possible, as seating availability is limited.
Applications may be picked up at the Farmington Police Department from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
